The Seven

Since the beginning of the campaign, the Parallax Club have tangled with the members of this group more than any other.  They are a loosely affiliated band of villains dedicated to the pursuit of power, whether material, spiritual or magical.  As might be expected, each seems willing to sell out any of his supposed comrades in a heartbeat if it is in his own interest.  However, on the few occasions the Club have tangled with more than one of these psychotic criminals at a time the Seven have been more than willing to work together against their opponents.

Their previous encounters have led many members of the Club to treat the Seven with some contempt.  Their plots are invariably Byzantine in their complexity yet foiled with disturbing ease.  However, some recent developments have suggested that this apparent incompetence is in fact merely a cover for some much darker scheme.

The links below lead to fuller descriptions of each of the Seven, though some are more well-known to the Club than others.  There are two other interesting elements worth mentioning about this maniacal clique: firstly, each of the Seven seems to have a sidekick or assistant, and it is becoming apparent to the Club that in many ways these subordinates are as dangerous, or perhaps even more so, than their masters.  Secondly, the Club recently discovered the Second Prophecy of Joseph the Lesser (see Story Arc) which suggests that the Seven are a gathering of 'Iron-Willed' individuals much like the Club themselves.

As to who has gathered them together, and why, that much remains uncertain.  Their symbol, often worn by their agents and subordinates, is a Roman numeral 'VII' superimposed on a grinning skull :
