Fiend
A being from the darkest pits of the Umbra, Fiend commonly takes the form of an eight-foot winged humanoid made entirely from liquid darkness. His body shimmers and glistens, and blue-white lightning crackles across it with his every step. It is unknown whether he possesses human bodies, as other spirit entities must do to exist in this reality, or whether he has somehow been able to manifest his physical form on Earth. If the latter it is a terrifying precedent. As might be expected given his appearance, Fiend is a demon. He communicates telepathically, and a single touch from his inhuman mind is enough to send most humans into screaming insanity. His personal power, moreover, is awesome. He can shape the occult energies that suffuse his form into weapons or blasts of oily darkness or crackling lightning, and like others of his unholy breed he delights in causing pain and suffering. His schemes are fully as complex as those of his associates, and generally involve attempts to summon more of his dark kin into this world. There is a suggestion that Fiend is actually Alastor, the entity spoken of in occult circles as the Executioner of Hell. This would make him a Duke of the Pit in the demonic hierarchy, so for such a potent being to be loose on Earth is cause for more than a little concern. He is commonly found in company with Minion, a being of similar appearance though shorter stature. Minion is just as vile and almost as powerful as his master, though in their recent encounters with the Parallax Club the lesser demon has surreptitiously aided the Club to defeat his master's schemes. It is unknown what game Minion is playing, though given the backbiting nature of demonkind it could be anything.
