The Olympians

Centuries ago, a group of beings from a distant Reflection Realm (see The Umbra) evaded the agents of the Council of Elements and arrived in what we now know to be Reality Prime.  In their dimension technology was the driving force behind creation, much as it has been here since the rise to power of the Technocratic Union, and they were masters of its many possibilities (!).

They lived in Ancient Greece thousands of years ago, and to its people they were as the gods themselves.  Little wonder then, that they were worshipped as such.  They lived in their own pocket dimension and named it Olympus, and it is from this that their own title was born.

But in the Olympians' hubris, agents of the Council finally caught up with them and exiled them back to their own reality.  However, several returned over the centuries, and when the Sundering tore through the Umbra those who were still here found themselves trapped.  There are four Olympians known to be stuck in this dimension, but there may be others.

Firstly, 'Annabelle Wise'.  A small, mousy-haired woman whose calm blue eyes lurk behind thick spectacle lenses.  In ages past she was responsible for the genetic project behind the creation of the Gorgon sisters (see Dr. Rebecca Martin) and the rise to power of the city-state of Athens.  Recently she has been seen by Louise's agents working with a number of US genetics companies on some top-secret government project. 

Secondly, 'Helen Detroit'.  An American supermodel, Helen has been consistently voted one of the five most beautiful women on Earth since she began modelling six years ago.  She is the Olympian with the least interest in power and manipulation, being considered petty and shallow even by her fellows' standards.

Thirdly, 'Zeus'.  His arrogance such that he does not even bother to use an assumed name, this being is the erstwhile leader of the Olympians.  His powers are great indeed, as he is both sorceror and technocrat, and last time he was seen it was revealed that Mitch knows far more about him than anyone, including Zeus himself, suspected.  Why this is, no-one seems to be saying...
